Kalakari Street
An online Indian fashion brand that resonates with ethnic and modern Indian fashion sensibilities. Kalakari Street has a crucial social media presence that helps thrive its business in apparel, jewellery and accessories.
MY ROLE
Social Media Design / Branding / Infographics / Illustration
Working as a contract Designer with Kalakari Street gave me an opportunity to elevate and nurture their brand language by creating their own custom icons, layout templates and social media post designs for various campaigns.
I was also entrusted with creating a new Brand Identity for the fashion brand and provided them with a new Logo that encapsulates both the ethnic Indian vibe as well as the modern one.




BRAND PALETTE
The client in the beginning was keen only on changing the colour palette of the original brand logo. I created a colour palette that was earthy and vibrant and complimented the Indian fashion elements being used in the apparel designs.

DIGITAL DESIGN
Digital Collaterals including emailers, newsletters and post designs were created keeping in mind the brand communication and visual language.




















NEW BRAND IDENTITY
The original symbol of the peacock was retained as it fit the brand personality, but the style of the symbol was transformed to a more modern and contemporary one to fit the evolving audience.
So the new Logo inherits the Indian ethnicity through the peacock symbol but can now also appeal to a more contemporary customer.
